Eight and Nine year olds

At this age, children particularly enjoy challenging themselves. Detailed construction toys allow them to invent, and create interesting structures from both instructions and their imagination. One of our favorites is Uberstix which is a new building system designed to be used with recycled products and other systems such as Legos so everyone can build with unlimited creativity. Science projects, model building and more sophisticated activities are good choices for this age.
